Terms and conditions
Use the commons with care.
These Terms and Conditions govern access to Mrs Morenos Class, including its website, accounts, classroom tools, and learning supports. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Effective September 29, 2026.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms are an agreement between Mrs Morenos Class and each person or organization that accesses the service. “You” includes an individual user and, when applicable, the school, district, or other organization on whose behalf the service is used.
An adult creating an account for an organization represents that they have authority to accept these terms for that organization. Students do not provide direct identifying information when creating an account.
2. The service
Mrs Morenos Class provides visual learning supports, teacher companions, classroom-management tools, student learning pages, classroom memberships, and links or connections to selected outside resources. Features may vary by account role, plan, subject, and stage of development.
The service is currently in beta. Beta features may be incomplete, changed, corrected, limited, or discontinued as the product develops.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- Keep account credentials and class links secure.
- Do not share an account or use another person's account.
- Notify us promptly if an account may have been compromised.
- Use only the role and classroom access assigned to you.
Teacher-only tools require an approved teacher role. We may verify a teacher's current professional role using their verified work email, submitted professional details, and public school or district sources. A student may create an account and join a classroom only through a valid teacher-controlled class link.
4. Teacher responsibilities
Before inviting students, the responsible teacher must:
- Share class links and QR codes only with intended students or families.
- Share a student password-reset link or QR code only with the intended student and create a new one if it may have been seen by someone else.
- Review materials and outside resources before classroom use.
- Provide appropriate supervision and accessible alternatives.
- Request removal of accounts or records when they are no longer needed.
Teachers should not enter grades, health information, disability information, government identifiers, disciplinary records, or other sensitive education records.
5. Student use
Students must use the service only for teacher-directed educational activities and follow their teacher's classroom rules. Students must not share class links, attempt to access teacher-only areas, identify classmates publicly, or use classroom information outside its educational purpose.
Students must choose only one of the generated usernames. Student passwords must contain at least eight characters. Spaces are allowed, and no particular mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, or symbols is required. Students must not include a name, email address, birthday, student ID, or other personal information in a password. Passwords must not be shared with teachers, classmates, or support staff.
A student who needs help with access, privacy, or inappropriate material should tell a teacher, parent, guardian, or school administrator.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- Break a law or violate another person's rights.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or endanger anyone.
- Collect, expose, or misuse personal or classroom information.
- Upload or distribute malicious code or harmful material.
- Bypass access controls or enter an unauthorized account or area.
- Probe or test security without written permission.
- Disrupt, overload, scrape, copy, or automate access in a way that harms the service or its users.
- Use the service or student information for advertising, surveillance, profiling, or unrelated commercial purposes.
- Misrepresent learning materials as your own commercial product.
Reasonable classroom display, printing, linking, and sharing with an intended class are permitted when consistent with these terms and any notices shown with the material.
7. Educational materials
Learning supports are educational resources, not a substitute for professional judgment, required curriculum, individualized education plans, accessibility obligations, or authoritative legal, medical, mental-health, or safety advice. Teachers are responsible for deciding whether a resource is accurate, age-appropriate, accessible, and suitable for their students and instructional setting.
We work to keep materials useful and accurate, but educational standards, outside links, and source materials may change. Review a resource before relying on it in instruction.
8. Information and materials you provide
You retain ownership of material you enter or select, such as a classroom name, locally stored agenda or roster text, and a link to a presentation. You give Mrs Morenos Class a limited permission to process that material only as necessary to provide, secure, and support the requested feature.
You are responsible for having permission to use and share any material you provide. Do not submit confidential, copyrighted, or personal information unless you are authorized to do so and the feature is intended to receive it.
9. Mrs Morenos Class materials
The service, original learning supports, designs, software, text, graphics, branding, and other materials are owned by Mrs Morenos Class or their respective licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable right to use the service and its materials for personal or classroom education. This does not permit resale, commercial republication, removal of ownership notices, or creation of a competing content library from the service.
10. Privacy and student information
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used and disclosed, and how to request access, correction, or deletion. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these terms.
11. Outside services and resources
Some features rely on or link to services operated by others, including Firebase, Google, Google Drive, YouTube, OpenAI, and external digital libraries. Those providers may apply their own terms and privacy policies. Mrs Morenos Class does not control an outside provider's availability, security, content, or practices.
A link, embed, or integration does not mean that every item or claim on an outside service has been reviewed or endorsed. Teachers should review outside resources before presenting them to students.
12. Teacher plans, billing, and cancellation
When public paid-plan enrollment is open, eligible teachers can begin one 14-day trial after professional verification is approved. No payment method is needed to start the trial, and the trial does not turn into a paid subscription automatically. To continue after the trial, the teacher must choose Classroom Core or Classroom Studio, select monthly or annual billing, and authorize payment in Stripe Checkout. The selected price, billing interval, applicable taxes, and purchase terms are shown before payment. Plan features and limits are described on the pricing page.
The first payment covers the selected period in advance. After that, the subscription renews automatically at the selected monthly or annual price, with payment charged on each renewal date unless you cancel first. You can cancel online through the billing portal linked from your teacher account. Cancellation stops future renewals; the teacher account shows the paid-through date and classroom access continues until that date. We do not provide voluntary or prorated refunds for an unused part of a paid period, except where required by applicable law. Contact support@morenoenterprises.org for billing errors or refund rights that may apply by law.
If payment remains unpaid after a trial or paid period ends, teacher plan access and the related student classroom access pause. We retain unpaid classroom data for 90 days from suspension, notify the teacher when access pauses and at least seven days before deletion, and may permanently delete the teacher-owned classrooms and their data after that period and notice. Voluntary cancellation alone does not start this unpaid-data deletion process, as described in the Privacy Policy. A school purchase order or signed order form may include additional terms.
13. Service availability and changes
We may maintain, update, secure, limit, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, network, or outside service. When practical, we will provide advance notice of a material change that significantly affects active classroom use.
14. Suspension and termination
We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security, safety, legal, privacy, nonpayment, or misuse concerns. We may terminate access for a material or repeated violation of these terms. When appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
An account holder, school, parent, or guardian may request account closure by emailing support@morenoenterprises.org. Information is handled after closure according to the Privacy Policy.
15. Disclaimers
To the greatest extent permitted by law, the service and beta features are provided “as is” and “as available.” Mrs Morenos Class disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. We do not promise a particular educational outcome or that every resource, outside link, or automated result will be complete or error-free.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
16. Limitation of liability
To the greatest extent permitted by law, Mrs Morenos Class will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, or educational opportunities arising from use of the service.
To the greatest extent permitted by law, total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including applicable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or violation of nonwaivable statutory rights.
17. Governing law and resolving concerns
These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in a user's home jurisdiction remain unaffected.
Before filing a formal claim, please email support@morenoenterprises.org so we can try to understand and resolve the concern. If a concern cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction. These terms do not require arbitration or waive the right to participate in a class action.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top will identify the latest version. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes and request renewed acceptance when required by law. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights that cannot legally be waived.
19. General terms
If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms or an account without written permission. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable purchase agreement make up the agreement concerning the service.
